Caso Weinstein: Jason Priestley ha picchiato il produttore

Decenni prima che lo scandalo di Weinstein riguardante le molestie sessuali, l’attore Jason Priestley ha avuto uno scontro con il produttore finito in una piccola rissa.

Questo venerdì l’attore Jason Priestley, protagonista del teen drama Beverly Hills 90210, ha deciso di parlarci di un incidente avvenuto all’after party dei Golden Globes 1995 avvenuto con il produttore cinematografico Harvey Weinstein. Sembra infatti che il produttore abbia cercato di far finire la carriera dell’attore, com’era già successo con Mira Sorvino e Ashley Judd.

Ma ecco cosa dice l’attore:

Harvey mi ha detto che dovevo andarmene.. me ne stavo andando quando mi ha afferrato il braccio e mi ha detto “Cosa stai facendo?!” ed io ho risposto “Mi hai detto di andare e sto andando” “Non ho detto che te ne devi andare” mi ha risposto, ed io allora ho detto “Me l’hai appena detto.. laggiù!”  gli ho ripetuto.

Ed ecco che le cose diventarono più violente:

Mi ha poi afferrato stretto e mi ha detto “Perché non andiamo fuori e ne parliamo?”  ed ecco tutto ciò che dovevo sentire. “Io non vado da nessuna parte con te” ho risposto mentre gli tiravo un pugno e lo spingevo via. All’improvviso c’erano delle guardie addette alla sicurezza che ci dividevano e che mi hanno mandato via dalla festa.

“I didn’t say you had to leave” he replied. “You just told me to leave… right over there” I tell him once again. Getting heated now. He then grabs me tighter and says “why don’t we go outside and talk about this”. That was all I needed to hear,

“I’m not going anywhere with you” I said as I pushed him back and punched him with a right hand to his face. Suddenly, there were security guards pulling us apart and I was escorted out of the party…

Priestley non ha detto se ha avuto altre interazioni con Weinstein, o se il produttore si è vendicato in qualche modo.
