Golden Globes 2022: i vincitori premiati durante una cerimonia privata

Libera dalla fanfara della sua solita cerimonia, dallo spettacolo delle celebrità sul red carpet, la Hollywood Foreign Press Association ha organizzato i Golden Globes 2022 con una cerimonia privata, un anno dopo che l’organizzazione era stata scossa dallo scandalo.

L’ evento in scala ridotta si è svolto domenica sera all’interno dell’hotel Beverly Hilton di Los Angeles, dove i vari HFPA si sono concentrati sull’annuncio dei vincitori nelle categorie cinematografiche e televisive oltre a mettere in evidenza le iniziative filantropiche del gruppo.

Sebbene fosse stato precedentemente annunciato che nessuna star avrebbe partecipato alla cerimonia, Jamie Lee Curtis ha fatto un’apparizione video a sorpresa per “condividere un messaggio sull’importanza degli sforzi filantropici dell’HFPA durante tutto l’anno”.

Considerati a lungo come un’ anticipazione chiave agli Oscar, i Globes sono stato travolto dalle polemiche poco prima della cerimonia del 2021, dopo che il Los Angeles Times ha  pubblicato una storia che metteva in evidenza questioni a lungo ipotizzate all’interno del gruppo. 

Il pezzo ha rivelato che l’HPFA non aveva membri neri tra gli 87 elettori, tutti giornalisti statunitensi che lavoravano per pubblicazioni internazionali all’epoca. 

Dopo che diverse celebrità si sono pronunciate contro l’HFPA (con alcune, come Tom Cruise , che hanno persino restituito le loro statuine del Globe in segno di protesta), un gruppo di 100 aziende pubblicitarie si è unito per chiedere “un cambiamento profondo e duraturo” all’HFPA e la NBC alla fine ha respinto i Golden Globes 2022 da sempre trasmessi nel suo palinsesto.
